Aoxuan Lee’s first solo piano work EP, titled "ME," was released on September 30, 2019, following its pre-purchase availability on August 30. The EP was described by Japanese media as an exploration of Lee's inner self and was well-received in Japan, where it gained love and praise from the public.

The concept of "ME" revolves around themes of self-discovery and authenticity. Lee wrote all the music in the EP after reflecting on past experiences. Inspired by psychologist Carl Gustav Jung’s works, he delved into exploring his own psyche, associating this journey with the EP's theme of inner exploration.

Lee has a history of collaborating with Japanese artists; in December 2018, he worked with singer Aizawa to release the single "San Er Yi," which became a Top 100 hit in Japan during Christmas 2018. In May 2019, he released another piano album, *Famous Chinese Songs (Time Boils the Rain),* featuring classic Chinese songs from 1980 to 2010.

Lee’s planned release of "ME" was initially met with rumors in July 2019, which his agency confirmed in August. He later attended the 15th National Electronic Keyboard Music Conference in Japan, marking his seventh consecutive year as a participant and the first foreigner to hold that distinction.

The EP reflects Lee’s continuous self-exploration and understanding, aiming to encourage listeners to embrace their true selves through music.
