José María Miculax Bux (1925 – July 18, 1946), known as "El Monstruo de Guatemala," was a Guatemalan serial killer executed by firing squad in 1946. Born in Patzicía, Guatemala, he and his cousin Mariano Macú Miculax murdered fifteen boys aged ten to sixteen between January and April 1946. The victims were sodomized, bound with ropes, and strangled to death. Miculax Bux was arrested on April 26, 1946, after an old woman provided a description, while Mariano was arrested the following day in Antigua. Despite Miculax Bux's confession, Mariano denied involvement. Miculax Bux was sentenced to death on June 18, 1946, and executed publicly on July 18. His body, with its head removed for medical study at the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala, was stolen in the 1990s.

The victims included Enrique Sactic Cuyuch (14), Oscar Emilio López (12), Cesar Augusto Bolfovich (13), an unidentified boy aged eleven, Francisco Juárez Ajvix, Gumersindo Flores (14), Jesús Reyes, Cecilio Uyú Pirir (13), two unidentified boys aged fifteen and thirteen to sixteen, Nicolás Antonio Gómez Reyes, Juan Lorenzo Iboy (missing since April 25), and Rolando Castillo. Miculax Bux's crimes shocked Guatemala, leading to his swift trial and execution.
