"Girly Air Force" is a Japanese light novel series written by Kōji Natsumi and illustrated by Asagi Tōsaka. It was first published in 2014 under ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Bunko imprint. The series has been adapted into a manga, serialized since October 26, 2018, in Kadokawa Shoten's *Monthly Shōnen Ace*. An anime adaptation by Satelight aired from January 10 to March 28, 2019, spanning 12 episodes. The series is directed by Katsumi Ono, with Shingo Nagai as writer and Tōru Imanishi handling character designs. The opening theme is "Break the Blue!!" by Run Girls, Run!, and the ending theme features a song by Yuuka Morishima, Hitomi Ōwada, and Shiori Izawa. Crunchyroll simulcast the anime globally, excluding Asia.

The story revolves around Kei, who joins forces with Anima units—cyborg girls created by JASDF scientist Haruka Yashirodōri—to combat an alien threat known as the Xi. The series features a mix of action and character-driven moments, focusing on Kei's relationships with various Anima pilots, including his childhood friend Minghua and the enigmatic Viper Zero.

The anime adaptation garnered attention for its unique blend of mecha battles and character dynamics. It has been released on home video by Discotek Media in December 2021.
