The DR Class 23.10 steam locomotives were passenger train engines built for the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR) in East Germany after World War II. Originally designated as Class 23.10, they were later reclassified as Class 35.10 on 1 June 1970. These locomotives were an evolutionary development of the earlier DRG Class 23 standard locomotives, with similar dimensions but featuring improved components such as IfS/DR mixer-preheaters and boilers equipped with combustion chambers. The feedwater dome was omitted in later units, starting from number 23 1003.

The first of 113 units entered service in 1955, primarily for light to medium express train services. They were initially numbered 23 1001 to 23 1113 but were renumbered to 35 1001–35 1113 as part of the EDP system in 1970. Most locomotives were retired by May 1977, though number 35 1113 was reactivated during the energy crisis and continued service until 1985. The Class 2′2′ T 28 tenders were used with these locomotives.

Today, several examples of the class are preserved. Notable units include:

These locomotives are significant examples of East German railway history and continue to be of interest to railfans and historians.
