Colegio Humboldt, a German international school in Pavas, San José, Costa Rica, offers education from preschool through Abitur. Established in 1912, initially teaching kindergarten and primary levels, the school closed during World Wars I and II but reopened in 1956 with local German community support. It expanded to include secondary school classes in 1975.

Today, students with backgrounds from Germany, other European countries, the U.S., and Latin America, including Colombia and Venezuela, attend the school. It provides scholarships for high-performing Costa Rican students without German ties to enter fifth grade.

The trilingual program prioritizes German and Spanish from Kindergarten through immersion, introducing English in Grade 5. Graduates are fluent in all three languages. The school offers both the German Abitur and Costa Rican Bachillerato diplomas. Known for its extensive extracurricular activities, it features an Olympic-sized swimming pool, full track, soccer field, and a professional theater, the Humboldt Auditorium, opened in August 2018.
