California Health Sciences University (CHSU) is a private, for-profit institution in Clovis, California, established in 2012 to address healthcare shortages in the Central Valley. It offers programs through its College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM), College of Biosciences and Health Professions (CBHP), and previously the College of Pharmacy, which discontinued its Pharm.D. program due to accreditation issues.

CHSU's history includes founding in 2012, with the College of Pharmacy launching in 2014, followed by COM in 2020 to train primary care physicians, and CBHP in 2022 for MSBS degrees. Before CHSU, Fresno lacked a medical school until UCSF Fresno became a branch in 2018. The campus opened in Fall 2020 with a 90,000 sq-ft facility.

The College of Osteopathic Medicine is a four-year program approved in 2018, with its first class starting in 2020 and graduating in 2024. It focuses on primary care, culinary medicine, Spanish training, and virtual anatomy. Clerkships are primarily local with broader opportunities elsewhere. CHSU-COM received seven-year accreditation in April 2024.

The College of Pharmacy initially offered a four-year Pharm.D., but lost pre-accreditation in 2020. A revised three-year program was denied precandidate status in 2022, leading to its discontinuation.

CBHP offers MSBS degrees with one and two-year tracks, graduating its first class in May 2024. Graduates can interview for COM, though admission isn't guaranteed. The campus at 2500 Alluvial Ave houses the College of Osteopathic Medicine since Fall 2020.
