It is served by the Pleasant Valley School District and covers an area of 4.3 square miles, primarily land with a small water component. The CDP is situated at the intersection of U.S. Route 209, where Pennsylvania Routes 115 and 715 begin, providing connections to nearby areas such as Wilkes-Barre, Henryville, Lehighton, and Stroudsburg.
