Brian Zembic
Brian Zembic, known as "the Wiz," is a Canadian magician and high-stakes gambler born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, in 1961. He specializes in blackjack and backgammon and gained fame for his unconventional bets.
Zembic's most notable wager occurred in 1996 when he agreed to receive breast implants in exchange for $100,000 if he kept them for a year. After losing money on the stock market, he underwent surgery in New York City with a cosmetic surgeon, paying $4,500 by forgiving the doctor's debt. He kept the implants beyond the required year and won the bet, earning $100,000.
Despite becoming a minor celebrity, Zembic retained his implants, which became a topic of public interest. He appeared on shows like *The Man Show* and *Botched*, recounting his bizarre wager. Other bets included living in a bathroom for a week, sleeping in Central Park with $20,000, and playing ping pong against poker legend Doyle Brunson.
Zembic also appeared in Season 2 of the *World Series of Blackjack*. His story was featured in Michael Konik's book *The Man with the $100,000 Breasts* (1999) and was adapted into an unfinished movie by Fox Searchlight. He remains implant-free unless his daughter Mika faces bullying due to them.
Zembic's life of gambling, magic, and eccentric bets has made him a unique figure in popular culture.
