Arnaud Souquet
Arnaud Souquet is a French professional footballer born on February 12, 1992, in Paris. He primarily plays as a right-back but can also play as a central defender or defensive midfielder. Souquet began his youth career at CO Vincennois, declining opportunities to join Clairefontaine academy and Paris Saint-Germain. He joined Lille in 2007 and excelled in their youth system, earning a professional contract in 2009. Souquet made his debut for Lille's first team in the UEFA Europa League against Slavia Prague on September 30, 2009, scoring a goal and assisting another in a 5–1 victory. He later made his league debut against Rennes.
In July 2016, Souquet moved to Nice before joining Belgian side K.A.A. Gent on August 31, 2018, for a reported €3 million transfer fee. A year later, he signed with Montpellier HSC. On January 9, 2023, Souquet joined Major League Soccer's Chicago Fire on a three-year deal but was released on February 13, 2025.
Souquet has represented France at the youth level, earning caps for both the under-16 and under-17 teams. He played in the 2009 UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship and scored two goals during the qualification process, including one against Denmark that secured France's tournament spot.
