The American Cooperative School of Tunis (ACST) is a private, international school located in El Aouina, Tunisia. It enrolls over 450 students across grades Pre-school to 12 and is known for its International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program, which it has offered since 2000, making it the only IB World School in Tunisia.

Established in 1959 as an elementary school, ACST expanded gradually, adding higher grades over the decades. Its enrollment grew significantly after the African Development Bank temporarily relocated to Tunis in 2003. In September 2012, the school suffered damage during attacks near the US Embassy, with the elementary library and surrounding classrooms destroyed. Despite this, the school recovered and continued operations.

ACST’s campus spans 10 acres, featuring modern facilities including libraries, science labs, art rooms, a gymnasium/auditorium, a cafeteria, and athletic fields. The school also uses a swimming pool at the nearby US Embassy. Transportation is available from several areas of Tunis.

The secondary school offers American-style diplomas (ACST Diploma) and the IB Diploma. The ACST Diploma requires 24 credits across core subjects, foreign language, physical education, and electives like music, art, technology, and health. The IB Program is available for grades 11 and 12, combining internal grading with external IB exams.

In grades 9 and 10, students take core subjects such as English, math, science, and social studies, along with electives like music, art, Arabic, and drama. ACST combines its grading system with IB assessments for older students.
