Aa Gale Lag Jaa 1994 film
"Aa Gale Lag Jaa" (transl. Come, embrace me) is a 1994 Indian Hindi romantic thriller directed by Hamid Ali Khan. The film features Jugal Hansraj in his first leading role alongside Urmila Matondkar, Paresh Rawal, Ashok Saraf, Ajit, Reema Lagoo, Raza Murad, Arjun, and Gulshan Grover. Notably, Hansraj and Matondkar had previously starred together in "Masoom" (1983), where she played his sister.
The plot centers on Suraj (Jugal Hansraj), a poor boy raised by his father Mamtaram (Paresh Rawal). He falls in love with Roshni (Urmila Matondkar), the daughter of a wealthy man, despite opposition from her mother Shakuntala Devi (Reema Lagoo). This opposition stems from Suraj's father being the driver of Roshni's father and later killed by his business partners. The film takes a thrilling turn when Suraj is suspected of murdering Roshni's father's associates. A eccentric police inspector, Ram Bhajan Singh (Gulshan Grover), investigates and eventually uncovers that Suraj's supposedly dead father is the real killer. He reveals that Roshni's father's partners were the true culprits, who framed him for their frauds. The film concludes with Suraj's father surrendering to the police after killing the last partner.
The movie is remembered for its music composed by Anu Malik. It marked Hansraj's rise as a leading actor and showcased Matondkar's talent in a significant role.
