201617 Boston College Eagles mens ice hockey season

The 2016–17 Boston College Eagles men's ice hockey team was coached by Jerry York. They played their home games at Kelley Rink on the campus of Boston College. They were part of Hockey East and the NCAA Division I Ice Hockey Championship. They are a member of the America East Conference. They have won two trophies in the last three seasons. The Eagles have finished 21–15-5 in conference play. They finished tied for first place with Boston University in the regular season. They lost in the semifinals of the Hockey East Tournament to Beanpot rival Northeastern. The team missed out on the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2009. The program is hoping to enter their first major rebuild in six years. The University is also hoping to improve their overall performance.
