Madam West is an indie rock band formed in Brooklyn, New York City, in 2013. The group consists of Sophie Chernin (lead vocalist), Todd Martino (keyboard and backing vocals), Mike McDearmon (drums), Will Clark (guitar), and Jory Dawidowicz (bass). Their debut EP, *Not Pictured*, was released in 2013, with its single "Darlin'" receiving a music video the following year. In preparation for their debut LP *Loves You*, the band released the single "Wade in the Water" in June 2015, followed by the album's release on August 1, 2015.

Madam West was active in New York City’s DIY and indie music scene in 2015, performing at festivals like Northside Festival, Gigawatts Festival, and CMJ Music Marathon. In 2016, they released the single "Wise Blood," inspired by Flannery O’Connor’s novel of the same name, which received positive reviews. The band continued to release singles, including "L" in 2017, which premiered on UK blog *GoldFlakePaint*.

In 2018, Madam West released their sophomore EP *Warm Bodies*, featuring six tracks. The EP was digitally released by Brooklyn boutique label Floordoor Records and received critical acclaim from outlets like No Depression, All Around Sound, and IMPOSE. Notable singles from this EP included "Strongest Son" and "Warm Bodies."

The band’s discography includes their debut LP *Loves You* (2015) and EPs *Not Pictured* (2013) and *Warm Bodies* (2018). Their singles span a range of releases, including tracks like "Wade in the Water," "Mr. Rodgers," "Anxiety Palace," "On Purpose," and "Epic Love Song No. 107."
