Georgina Huljich

Georgina Huljich is an Argentine-American architect and educator born on January 30, 1974. She serves as a partner at PATTERNS, a Los Angeles-based architecture firm, and has been an associate professor at UCLA's Department of Architecture and Urban Design since 2006.

Huljich earned her B.Arch from the National University of Rosario in 1998 and her M.Arch from UCLA in 2003. Before joining PATTERNS, she worked at prominent firms including the Guggenheim Museum, Morphosis Architects, and Dean/Wolf Architects. She was Director of AUD Summer Programs at UCLA from 2012 to 2016 and has been on the Executive Board at UCLA's Center for the Arts since 2015. Her academic contributions include serving as a visiting professor at universities like Yale, where she was the Louis I. Kahn Visiting Assistant Professor in 2013.

Her notable projects span various locations, including the Prism Gallery in Los Angeles, Zhixin Hybrid Office in Chengdu, and installations in Argentina and South Korea. Huljich's accolades include First Prize in competitions such as the 21st Century Park and Vertical Garden, a grant from the Graham Foundation, and recognition as part of Emerging Voices in 2011. She has received multiple AIA awards, with her designs showcased at prestigious venues like the Venice Biennale.

Huljich co-authored "Mute Icons" and "PATTERNS Embedded," and contributed to "Against the Grain," which features her work from Yale. Her contributions highlight a blend of innovative design, academic research, and collaborative practice.
