Andreas Schott (1552–1629) was a Jesuit priest from Antwerp, renowned for his work editing Latin and Greek classical literature. Born to Franciscus Schott and Anna Bosschaert, he studied philosophy at Leuven University under Cornelius Valerius and Theodoricus Langius. After disruptions caused by the Dutch Revolt, he moved through various academic posts in Spain, including a position as a Greek professor in Toledo. He later taught in Salamanca and Zaragoza before joining the Jesuits in 1586.

Schott spent time studying theology in Valencia and Italy, eventually returning to Antwerp in 1597 after two decades abroad. There, he continued his academic work at a Jesuit college, publishing editions of classical texts by Seneca, Photius, and Proclus, among others. His career was marked by scholarly contributions and correspondence with notable contemporaries like Ortelius and Lipsius until his death in 1629.
