Babble was a British-New Zealand electronic dance music group formed in 1992 by Tom Bailey and Alannah Currie, along with Keith Fernley. The trio aimed to explore experimental music after leaving the Thompson Twins. In 1993, they spent time in India collecting samples for their work.

Their debut album, *The Stone*, released in March 1994, featured collaborations with British rapper Q-Tee and singer Amey St. Cyr. Singles like "Take Me Away" reached number 18 on the US Billboard Hot Dance Music Club Play chart. In 1995, Bailey and Currie relocated to New Zealand to record their second album, *Ether*, released in February 1996. The album's single, "Love Has No Name," featuring New Zealand singer Teremoana Rapley, reached number 10 on the same chart.

Babble also contributed to American actress Traci Lords' 1995 debut album *1000 Fires*, writing and producing three tracks. However, Warner Brothers dropped the group in the late 1990s, leading to their disbandment after they ceased further activities.
