The Laundry
The Laundry is a tabletop role-playing game published by Cubicle 7 in 2010, based on Charles Stross's *Laundry Files* series. The game centers around agents navigating encounters with Lovecraftian entities and the complexities of British bureaucracy.
Cubicle 7 utilized their Basic Role-Playing license to develop the game, which was released in July 2010. Several supplements were subsequently published to enhance gameplay:
A GM screen was planned but never released. Cubicle 7's licensing agreement with Chaosium expired in 2017, prompting them to consider a new system or edition before proceeding further. By 2019, they indicated that resolving licensing issues or introducing a new system would be necessary for a revised edition. Charles Stross announced the development of a second edition in July 2023.
The game received recognition with a Silver ENnie Award for Best New Game in 2011.
