The Schoeller family is a German noble family with a long history of industrial and political influence across Europe. Originally from the Rhineland, they were involved in metal manufacturing before expanding into textiles, paper, sugar, steel, coal mining, railways, breweries, and banking. They founded Schoellerbank in Vienna in 1833 and held significant political roles, including positions in national diets and legislatures.

Many family members were elevated to the nobility; several branches received titles from Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria in 1863, and Sir Paul Eduard von Schoeller was knighted by King George V of Britain. After Austria's 1919 Law on Nobility Abolition, those with Austrian citizenship had to drop noble suffixes like "von."

Prominent family members include mining industrialist Alexander von Schoeller, sugar industry major Philipp Johann von Schoeller, and Sir Paul Eduard von Schoeller, a British Consul General in Vienna. Others were involved in politics or sports, such as Walter Schoeller, a Swiss national champion in multiple sports.

The Schoellers' legacy extends to their corporate responsibility, tradition, and innovation, with a notable presence in European industry and culture.
