Robin Hood Makes Good is a 1939 Warner Bros. Merrie Melodies cartoon short directed by Chuck Jones and written by Dave Monahan. Released on February 11, 1939, the cartoon follows three squirrels who decide to act out the story of Robin Hood after reading a book about him. The smallest squirrel initially wants to be Robin Hood but is bullied into taking the role of the Sheriff of Nottingham by his larger siblings. The middle squirrel becomes Little John, while the largest takes on the role of Robin Hood. A fox, observing their play, devises a plan to capture them by pretending to be Maid Marian in distress. He lures Robin Hood and Little John into his cabin, where he traps them. Meanwhile, the smallest squirrel devises a rescue plan using voice imitations and sound effects to scare the fox away, saving his friends. After freeing them, the smallest squirrel asserts himself as Robin Hood.

The Film Daily praised the cartoon, describing how three squirrels emulate Robin Hood's adventures and how a fox exploits their game. The youngest squirrel rescues the others and insists on being Robin Hood, showcasing the cleverness of the smallest character.
