Paul Ainslie, born on February 4, 1967, is a Toronto city councillor. He was first appointed as an interim councillor for Ward 41 in 2006 following Bas Balkissoon's provincial election victory. Despite agreeing not to run in the 2006 municipal election, Ainslie contested and won the seat for Ward 43 after David Soknacki withdrew. During his campaign, a video surfaced showing him pledging not to run, though he claimed the term "re-elect" in his campaign materials was suggested by his team.

In 2007, Ainslie attempted to eliminate the $20,000 annual expense for complimentary coffee at City Hall but failed. During the Rob Ford scandal, he lost his role as chair of the government management committee and later resigned from the executive committee and parks committee due to disagreements with Ford's strategic direction in 2013. Additionally, on May 3, 2013, Ainslie received a three-day license suspension after a RIDE check on Kingston Road.
