201112 Cornwall Hockey Association Plate
The 2011–12 Cornwall Hockey Association Plate was the secondary knock-out competition for senior male and female hockey teams in Cornwall who were eliminated from the CHA Cup in Round 1. The competition featured eighteen teams, one fewer than the previous season. It began on Sunday, December 18, 2011, with the Ladies' Plate Round 1 and concluded on Sunday, April 15, 2012, with the Ladies' Final at Penzance HC. St. Austell HC (Men's Plate) and Truro HC (Ladies' Plate) retained their titles from the previous season.
The competition format was a knockout system, where one loss eliminated a team. Unlike the 2010–11 season, all rounds were drawn in advance, allowing teams to analyze potential opponents beforehand. This approach was reverted after being tested successfully in the 2009–10 season.
For the Men's Plate, six teams qualified based on their results from Round 1 of the CHA Cup. The Ladies' Plate had eleven qualifiers: four highest-ranked teams received byes to the quarter-finals, with one additional bye allocated randomly. The remaining six teams competed in Round 1.
The draw for both competitions was conducted on December 1, 2011.
