In Greek mythology, Ialysus (Ancient Greek: Ἰάλυσος) was the eponymous founder of the city of Ialysus on the island of Rhodes. He was the eldest son of King Cercaphus and his niece Cydippe, daughter of Ochimus, a former king. Ialysus had two younger brothers, Lindus and Camirus. After their father's death, the three brothers succeeded to the throne. During their reign, a great deluge occurred, during which their mother, referred to as Cyrbe, was buried beneath the floodwaters. Following this event, the brothers divided the land among themselves and each founded a city that bore their name: Ialysus, Lindus, and Camirus.
