The Volvo FE is a medium-duty truck produced by Volvo Trucks Corporation since 2006, currently in its second generation. It is available in rigid and tractor configurations across three weight classes. The first-generation FE, introduced in 2006, featured a 320 hp engine shared with the Volvo FL, along with cabover designs including day, comfort, and sleeper cabs, all tested for safety.

The FE's second generation, launched in May 2013 alongside the Volvo FL, introduced features like the I-Shift automatic transmission and Electronic Stability Program (ESP). The truck is powered by a Deutz-built, common rail diesel engine with Euro III/IV emissions standards (SCR-compliant). Engines range from 6-cylinder D8 units (7.7L displacement) to higher horsepower options.

Transmission choices include manual (ZF Ecomid) and automatic (Allison MD3060/AL306), with options varying by vehicle type and engine power. The braking system features an integrated air management system (APM) for efficiency, and brake configurations include exhaust or compression brakes for enhanced stopping power.

The FE's chassis offers two frame heights, suspension options (air or parabolic springs), and a wide selection of rear axle ratios with differential locks in various drivetrain configurations. A hybrid version capable of 1.5 km on electric power and certified as a Quiet Truck in the Netherlands was also introduced.
