Beaver Creek is a 5.5-mile-long tributary of Buttermilk Creek located in Lackawanna and Wyoming Counties, Pennsylvania. It flows through West Abington Township in Lackawanna County and Overfield Township and Falls Township in Wyoming County. The creek’s watershed spans 9.81 square miles and includes Lake Winola. Beaver Creek is not classified as an impaired waterbody.

The creek originates in a wetland in West Abington Township, flowing southwest before turning northwest and passing through a lake. It receives several unnamed tributaries along its course, passes through additional wetlands, and eventually converges with Buttermilk Creek 2.58 miles upstream of its mouth. The elevation near Beaver Creek’s mouth is 764 feet above sea level, while its source lies between 1,160 and 1,180 feet.

The surficial geology in the area includes alluvium, Wisconsinan Till, Outwash, alluvial fan, Ice-Contact Stratified Drift, Bouldery Till, wetlands, and peat bogs. The Winola Mill Pond Dam is situated within the watershed on one of Beaver Creek’s tributaries. A concrete bridge built in 1924 spans the creek in Falls Township.

Beaver Creek was recorded in the Geographic Names Information System on August 2, 1979, and its identifier is 1198387.
