Mama Drama is Mia X's third and final studio album, released on October 27, 1998, under No Limit Records with distribution by Priority Records and EMI. The album features production from Master P and Beats By the Pound, with returning guests including Fat Joe and Charlie Wilson. It debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 and number seven on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts, selling 400,000 units in the U.S. The album includes two singles: "What'cha Wanna Do," which reached number 41 on the Billboard Hot 100, and "Imma Shine."

Critics were mixed; while some praised Mia X's delivery and production, others criticized the album's production quality and track length. Despite this, Mama Drama remains Mia X's most successful release commercially and critically.
