Birdy Nam Nam is a French DJ crew known for treating turntables as musical instruments. Formed in 1998, they gained recognition after winning the DMC Technics 2002 World TEAM Championships. Their debut album, *Birdy Nam Nam*, was released in 2005, followed by their self-titled live album in 2006. The group performed at the SXSW conference that year and has since released several albums, including *Manual For Successful Rioting* (2009), *Defiant Order* (2011, re-released in 2013), and *Dance or Die* (2016). Their discography also includes numerous EPs and vinyl releases.

Birdy Nam Nam's name originates from a line in the 1968 film *The Party*. The group sources its music from friends' albums and vinyl records, creating unique live performances. In 2010, they won the Electronic or Dance Revelation of the Year at the Victoires de la Musique. Their international exposure increased after Skrillex remixed their song "Goin' In" and released a remix album on his label Owsla in 2012. The track "Trans Boulogne Express" gained mainstream attention when featured in the movie *Transporter 3*.

Birdy Nam Nam has won several awards, including the Independent Music Awards 2012 for Best Dance/Electronica Album with *Defiant Order*. Their music spans various genres and continues to be celebrated by audiences globally.
