Curtis Eugene Cross, known as Black Milk, is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer born on August 14, 1983. He has collaborated with numerous artists, including J Dilla, Elzhi, Phat Kat, Frank-N-Dank, Lloyd Banks, Canibus, Pharoahe Monch, RZA, Danny Brown, Black Thought, T3, and others. Black Milk formed the group B.R. Gunna with Young RJ and Fat Ray in 2004, releasing *Dirty District: Vol. 2*. He released his solo debut album, *Sound of the City, Vol. 1*, in 2005, signing with Fat Beats Records in 2006. His EP *Broken Wax* was released in 2006, and he handled production on T3's *Olio* mixtape. Black Milk released his second album, *Popular Demand*, in 2007. In 2008, he collaborated with Fat Ray to release *The Set Up*, and his third solo album, *Tronic*, was released the same year. He produced tracks for Elzhi's albums *The Preface* and *The Leftovers Unmixedtape*. Black Milk released his fourth album, *Album of the Year*, in 2010. His fifth studio album, *No Poison No Paradise*, featuring collaborations with artists like Black Thought and Robert Glasper, was released in 2013. In 2014, he released the self-produced EP *Glitches in the Break* and his sixth album, *If There's a Hell Below*. Black Milk has also contributed to collaborative projects such as *Caltroit*, *Random Axe*, *Black & Brown!*, and *Burning Stones*.
