Aaron Bing is an American adult contemporary and smooth jazz saxophonist who gained recognition for attempting a Guinness World Record by holding a note for 39 minutes and 40 seconds on *The Late Show with David Letterman*. Although he did not surpass Kenny G's record of 45 minutes and 47 seconds, his achievement remains notable. Born in Miami to an African-American mother and Afro-Dominican father, Bing never met his father and was raised by his grandmother after his mother disappeared. At age 10, he discovered a clarinet under his grandmother's bed and began teaching himself to play. He later learned multiple instruments, including the French horn, baritone, piano, and percussion, before discovering the saxophone in ninth grade after hearing Kenny G.

Bing has released six albums: *Always* (2005), *Christmas Dream* (2009), *Secret Place* (2010), *Rebirth* (2011), *Legacy* (2012), and *Otra Parte De Mi* (2013). His work has been recognized on Grammy ballots, and he has collaborated with artists like Tevin Campbell and Dwele. Bing, who plays 21 instruments and primarily uses the soprano saxophone, aims to establish his own record label and support music education initiatives through organizations like MusiCares and VH1's Save The Music Foundation. He is also set to appear in the film *Christmas Baby Girl* (2018).
