The Russian Grand Prix is an event in motorsport history that dates back to 1924, initially held on circuits such as Ivanovka and Moscow Street. However, it was not part of the Formula One World Championship until 2010 when it was reintroduced at the Sochi Olympic Park circuit in Russia. The race became a regular fixture in the F1 calendar from 2014 onwards.

The event has been dominated by Mercedes and their drivers since its inclusion in Formula One, with Lewis Hamilton securing multiple victories. Other notable winners include Valtteri Bottas, Sebastian Vettel, and Charles Leclerc. The Russian Grand Prix was canceled indefinitely in 2022 due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, with Formula One suspending the contract for the event. Plans to move the race to Igora Drive near Saint Petersburg were also scrapped.
