De'Longhi S.p.A., an Italian company based in Treviso, was founded by the De'Longhi family in 1902 and incorporated in 1950. Initially a manufacturer of portable heaters and air conditioners, the company has expanded to produce a wide range of small domestic appliances across categories like food preparation, cooking, household cleaning, and ironing. It is renowned for products such as the Artista Series espresso machines, the De'Longhi gelato maker, and the Pinguino portable air conditioner. The company's Esclusivo line won a Red Dot Design Award in 2007, and its design director, Giocomo Borin, was recognized as one of the world's most influential designers in 2006. De'Longhi has made several strategic acquisitions, including Climaveneta S.p.A. and DLRadiators in 2000 to enter the commercial HVACR market, Kenwood in 2001 for access to its Chinese factory, RC Group in 2006, Braun-branded products from Procter & Gamble in 2012, a partnership with Orient Electric in India in 2018, and Capital Brands for €420 million in November 2020. These moves have enabled the company to operate 13 production facilities and 30 international subsidiaries, generating nearly 75% of its revenue from global sales across 75 countries. The company's shares are traded on Milan's stock exchange under the ticker symbol DLG. Revenue reached €3.16 billion in 2022, up from nearly double since 2014.
