Sydney Showground Olympic Park

The Sydney Showground, located at Sydney Olympic Park in New South Wales, Australia, is a purpose-built venue established in 1998 for the Sydney Royal Easter Show and the 2000 Summer Olympics. It replaced the former Sydney Showground at Moore Park and is operated by the Royal Agricultural Society of New South Wales under lease from the Government of New South Wales. The centrepiece of the Showgrounds is Sydney Showground Stadium, also known as ENGIE Stadium. This stadium hosts major events such as the Grand Parade and has been used for various sports, including baseball during the 2000 Olympics, rugby league between 2001 and 2005, and Australian rules football since 2012 as the home ground of the Greater Western Sydney Giants. It also hosts Twenty20 cricket matches for the Sydney Thunder since 2015. The Dome, or The Dome and Exhibition Complex, is a large indoor venue with a circular floor plan and a high ceiling. It spans 7,200 square metres and can expand to 21,600 square metres when combined with adjacent exhibition halls. During the Olympics, it hosted team handball finals and preliminary basketball games, among other events. Post-Olympics, it has been used for corporate functions, trade shows, and TV productions, including *Gladiators Australia* and early episodes of *Junior MasterChef Australia*.
