MayiladuthuraiCoimbatore Jan Shatabdi Express

The 12083/12084 Mayiladuthurai–Coimbatore Jan Shatabdi Express is a passenger train connecting Mayiladuthurai Junction and Coimbatore Junction in Tamil Nadu, India. It is one of twenty Jan Shatabdi Express trains in India, excluding the Chennai Central–Vijayawada service. Introduced on 20 January 2003 between Thanjavur Junction and Coimbatore Junction as a trial, it was flagged off by A.K. Moorthy. Initially operating for three months, the service faced poor patronage, leading to its reversal direction from Coimbatore to Thanjavur.

The train's route extends through Irugur Junction, Tiruppur, Erode Junction, Karur Junction, and Tiruchirappalli Junction, reversing at these points. The service was extended to Mayiladuthurai Junction by 2009. The train numbers were changed from 2083/2084 to 12083/12084 in December 2010 for better management.

In a green initiative, one coach (CZ026256) was fitted with solar panels producing 4.8 kW, saving diesel annually and making it the first train in Southern Railway to have fully solar-powered coaches. The train is maintained at Coimbatore Junction's Carriage and Works Depot and has retrofitted biotoilets costing ₹4.13 lakh per coach.
