James Satloff

James Satloff (born 1962) is an American businessman known for founding Liberty Skis and serving as CEO of C.E. Unterberg, Towbin. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA in computer science and artificial intelligence with concentrations in humanities and French.

Satloff's career includes roles at various financial institutions such as Standard & Poor's Investment Services, Bankers Trust Company, Salomon Brothers, and Touche Ross & Co. He co-founded Fusion Management Consulting with Eric Mendelsohn and was CEO of Inform Technologies LLC from 2007 to 2009. At C.E. Unterberg, Towbin, he testified before Congress on the impact of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act on small businesses and commented on SEC rules affecting small companies.

In addition to his professional roles, Satloff is a director at Larkspur & Hawk and has been Executive Chairman of InvestorForce since 2010. He holds several US patents for technological innovations, including a simplified computer keyboard, an interactive trading card system, and a portable computer desk with a power generator.

Satloff is married to Emily Unterberg Satloff, with whom he has two sons, Dustin among them. His father-in-law, Thomas I. Unterberg, was the chairman of investment bank L.F. Rothschild. He resides in New York City.
