Capital Group Russia

Capital Group, a Russian real estate developer established in 1991 by Vladislav Doronin, specializes in integrated real estate projects and ranks first in Forbes' elite housing developer ratings in Russia. The company's history includes the加入 of Eduard Berman and Pavel Tio in 1993, with Pavel becoming Chairman in 2016.

Capital Group is controlled by Capital Investments Limited (C.I.T.), a Cyprus-based entity co-owned by Vladislav, Pavel, and Eduard, each holding a 33.3% stake. In 2022, Vladislav transferred his shares to his mother to avoid sanctions linked to his anti-war stance.

The company operates across 7.8 million square meters of real estate, focusing on mixed-use complexes, residential, and commercial developments. Since 2009, it has expanded into large-scale comfort-class projects. Financially, Capital Group reported revenues of 35 billion rubles in 2015 and 72 billion rubles in 2019.

Awards highlight its achievements, including the FIABCI Prix d'Excellence for a skyscraper in 2016. However, controversies include disputes with architect Erik van Egeraat over design rights and compensation, as well as criticism for demolishing a historic building and unauthorized construction near sensitive infrastructure. Additionally, Pavel Tio faced arrest in Kyrgyzstan in 2024 on charges of financing organized crime.
