Ambala-Shamli Expressway

The Ambala Shamli Expressway, a 121.786-kilometre-long (75.674 mi) six-lane access-controlled expressway, is under construction in Haryana, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh as part of the larger Bareilly–Ludhiana Economic Corridor (Bareilly-Ludhiana Expressway), which spans 450 kilometres (280 mi). The corridor consists of three sections: a 90-kilometre (56 mi) brownfield upgrade of NH 44, the Ambala-Shamli Expressway as a greenfield project, and a 220-kilometre (140 mi) greenfield section. An extension, the Bareilly-Gorakhpur Expressway, will connect to the Siliguri–Gorakhpur Expressway.

The Ambala-Shamli Expressway runs through Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, starting at Sadopur in Ambala District and ending at Gogwan Jalalpur in Shamli District, where it connects to the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway. Its route includes bypasses for several cities and towns, such as Ambala city's northern and eastern bypasses, Saha, Barara, Radaur, and Gangoh.

Construction began with tenders invited in January 2022, and the expressway is expected to be completed by December 2024. It interconnects with the Ambala–Chandigarh Expressway at Ambala and the Delhi–Dehradun Expressway at Gogwan Jalalpur.
