Alaa Ahmad

Aladdin Ahmad Khudhair, born on May 25, 1952, is an Iraqi former footballer who played as a midfielder and spent most of his career with Al-Minaa club. He began his football journey in Basra under the guidance of international referee Sami Naji, playing for Tarbiyat Al Basra team in 1952. After representing school and regional teams, he joined Al Moshah in 1971 before returning to play for Al-Inaa until retirement.

Khudhair made his international debut with Iraq's U-20 team at the Palestine Cup of Nations in 1973, where they defeated the UAE 3-1. He later joined the senior national team and played 54 matches, including tournaments like the 1974 Asian Games, 1977 and 1978 Pestabola Merdeka, the 1979 Arabian Gulf Cup, and the 1980 Moscow Olympics.

He was part of Iraq's World Men's Military Cup-winning teams in 1972, 1977, and 1979. At Al-Minaa, he contributed to the club's first Iraqi league title in the 1977-78 season. Khudhair played four matches for Iraq in the 1980 Olympics, where they lost 4-0 to East Germany.

Among his coaches were Sami Naji, Ammo Baba, Thamir Muhsin, Jamal Salih, Yugoslavian coach Gaga, and Scottish coach Danny McLennan. His international honors include winning the World Men's Military Cup in 1972, 1977, and 1979, as well as the Arabian Gulf Cup in 1979. He was runner-up in the Pestabola Merdeka in both 1977 and 1978.
