Advanced Digital Broadcast (ADB) is a global provider of software, systems, and services for pay-TV operators, telecoms, content distributors, and property owners. Headquartered in Bellevue, Switzerland, with R&D centers in Poland, Italy, and operations in Taipei, Taiwan, ADB specializes in digital connectivity devices like set-top boxes and residential gateways. Founded in 1995 by Andrew Rybicki, Janusz C. Szajna, Krzysztof Kolbuszewski, Mariusz Walkowiak, and Stanley Hemphill, the company started by developing software for digital TV processors before expanding into manufacturing equipment in 1997. ADB has sold over 64 million devices worldwide, including set-top boxes and gateways, to cable, satellite, IPTV, and broadband operators. The company employs over 350 people, with 70% in engineering roles.

Key milestones include the launch of its first set-top box in 1997, achieving one million sales by 2000, and introducing MHP-compliant middleware in 2001. ADB became the first to deploy an IPTV STB on a North American network in 2007 and introduced Wi-Fi Mesh Technology in 2018. In 2021, they launched a premium fiber optic access gateway with Wi-Fi 6.

ADB's products include set-top boxes, residential gateways, software for pay-TV services (catch-up, VOD, interactive TV), middleware, broadband devices, and remote management tools.
