Adele Moroder

Adele Moroder-Lenèrt was an Austrian author born on December 17, 1887, in Ortisei (now Urtijëi), where she also passed away on February 11, 1966. She wrote exclusively in Ladin and was the daughter of Franz Moroder, marrying her cousin, sculptor Ludwig Moroder, with whom she had a son named Alex. Adele published numerous traditional tales and legends in Ladin through newspapers like "Nos Ladins" and "Calender de Gherdeina." Her most famous work includes 70 stories read on Italy's national TV channel RAI.

Her publications include contributions to the "Calender de Gherdeina" across various years, such as 1959, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, and 1966, each with specific page references. In 1990, her book "Stories de Anda Adele Moroder de Lenèrt," featuring seven illustrations by Egon Rusina Moroder, was published by Union di Ladins de Gherdeina. The Museum of Val Gardena holds an archive from Radio Ladin de Gherdeina.

Some notable stories include "Co che mi oma cuntova dl nëine y l’ava da Scurcià," first published in CdG 1963, and "La nevicia da ardimënt," which appeared earlier in CdG 1965 under a different title. Her work often reflects traditional themes and local customs, preserving Ladin cultural heritage through her storytelling.
