Adam Palma

Adam Palma is a Polish-British guitarist and educator born on July 9, 1974, in Łódź, Poland. He began playing guitar at age 12 and graduated from III Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Marii Konopnickiej we Włocławku in Włocławek. He earned a DMA in music from The Music Academy in Gdańsk in 2017.

Palma moved to Manchester in 2006 and started his solo career, performing with renowned guitarists like Al Di Meola, Tommy Emmanuel, and Biréli Lagrène, as well as Polish artists including Edyta Górniak and Janusz Olejniczak. His album *Adam Palma Meet Chopin* (2019) was the first acoustic guitar interpretation of Chopin's music and received critical acclaim.

He has performed at significant events, such as the "100 years - The Centenary of Polish Independence" concert at Royal Albert Hall in 2018 with Leszek Możdżer and appeared on Polish TV channels like Telewizja Polska and TVP1. Palma is a Professor of Jazz Guitar at The Music Academy in Gdańsk and teaches guitar at the University of Salford.

Awards include the 'Best Acoustic Guitarist Award' in 2014, the Main Prize in Art by Włocławek's mayor in 2018, the Medal for Merit to Culture (Gloria Artis) in 2020, and being named Titular Professor by Poland's President in 2022. In 2020, he survived a 40-day coma due to COVID-19.
