"The Neighbour of the Beast" is the debut album by the Norwegian glam metal band Wig Wam, released in Norway on 8 March 2004. The album features two singles: a cover of Melanie C's "I Turn to You" and "Hard to Be a Rock'n Roller," along with their entry for Melodi Grand Prix 2004, "Crazy Things." It was produced by guitarist Trond Holter and Ole Evenrud. In January 2005, the album was reissued in Scandinavia under the title *Hard to Be a Rock'n Roller*, including a radio edit of "Hard to Be a Rock'n Roller," an instrumental track titled "The Drop," and a rearranged tracklist. A second reissue in March 2005 renamed it *Hard to Be a Rock n' Roller..*, adding the song "In My Dreams" and the video for "Hard to Be a Rock n' Roller." Further reissues were released in Europe as *Hard to Be a Rock'n Roller.. in Kiev!* and in Asia as *Hard to Be a Rock'n Roller.. in Tokyo!*. The album's title references Iron Maiden's *The Number of the Beast*. The number 667 later appeared on the cover art of Wig Wam's third album, *Non Stop Rock'n Roll*, as the license plate number of the "guitar car."
