2024 Volgograd Oblast gubernatorial election

The 2024 Volgograd Oblast gubernatorial election took place alongside the regional Duma elections on September 6–8, 2024. Incumbent Governor Andrey Bocharov won a third term in office.

Bocharov was first appointed acting Governor in April 2014 after replacing Sergey Bozhenov and went on to win his first full-term election in September 2014 with 88.49% of the vote. He secured a second term in 2019, defeating three opponents with 76.80% of the vote.

Originally limited to two consecutive terms, Bocharov faced potential term limits in 2024. However, a law enacted in December 2021 removed gubernatorial term limits across Russia. Volgograd followed suit, allowing Bocharov to run for a third term. He announced his candidacy in April 2024 and received President Vladimir Putin's endorsement.

Candidates for Governor must be Russian citizens over 30 without foreign ties and must collect signatures from municipalities. Bocharov won the election again, reappointing incumbent Senator Nikolai Semisotov to the Federation Council.
