American Greed is a documentary television series on CNBC that explores cases of white-collar crimes such as Ponzi schemes, embezzlement, and other financial scandals. Created by Mark Hoffman, the series is produced by Kurtis Productions and narrated by Stacy Keach Jr., after Bill Kurtis became unavailable. It premiered on June 21, 2007, and has been on hiatus since July 2024 but remains uncancelled.

The series focuses on high-profile corporate scandals involving companies like WorldCom, HealthSouth, Tyco International, and CyberNET, as well as lesser-known cases affecting individual investors and smaller businesses. It also features interviews with police investigators, fraud victims, and sometimes the perpetrators themselves. Special presentations have included episodes about Bernie Madoff, 9/11 fraud, and mob-related crimes.

American Greed has spawned companion series: *The Fugitives* (2012-2013), which highlighted active white-collar crime cases and led to the arrest of a fugitive; *Deadly Rich* (2019), focusing on wealthy individuals involved in murders; and *Biggest Cons* (2020), revisiting major fraud cases. In 2022, the series collaborated with AMC to produce a special episode about Jimmy McGill from *Better Call Saul*, promoting its sixth season.

The program has covered a wide range of financial crimes, including Ponzi schemes, real estate fraud, identity theft, and political corruption, offering insights into the impact of these crimes on individuals and businesses.
