Bjarni skar orsteinsson
Bjarni Óskar Þorsteinsson (born 31 August 1976) is a retired Icelandic footballer who played as a defender. He earned 10 caps for the Iceland national team between 2000 and 2003, including three appearances in the qualifying tournament for the 2004 UEFA European Championship.
Bjarni began his career with KR in 1996, making 76 league appearances. In 1999, he spent a month on loan at KFC Uerdingen 05 in Germany, playing twice. He joined Molde FK in Norway in 2001 but did not make a competitive appearance that season; however, he played 43 league matches and scored once before returning to KR in 2004.
From 2004 to 2007, Bjarni played 22 Úrvalsdeild matches for KR. He later joined Grótta in the 3rd deild in 2007, scoring once in 13 league games before moving to Þróttur Reykjavík. Despite joining, he struggled to break into the first team and made only one cup appearance. In 2009, Bjarni signed for Einherji, where he scored five goals in 22 league matches before retiring the following year.
Bjarni's international career began at 18 with Iceland's U19 side, playing left-back. He earned three caps with the U21 team and made his senior debut on 31 January 2000 against Norway. He played his final international match on 20 November 2003 in a goalless draw with Mexico.
