Scoot Networks, also known as Scoot Rides, is an American company based in San Francisco that provides electric scooter and bicycle sharing services through a smartphone app. Founded in 2011 by Michael Keating, the company expanded its fleet over the years, introducing features like battery swapping for free-floating parking in 2014. By 2015, it had over 400 vehicles, including cargo scooters and electric mini-cars. In 2018, Scoot launched services in Barcelona and Santiago, Chile, using a mix of electric scooters and bicycles from various manufacturers.

The company's target audience is users aged 18-45 who access its app-based service for short trips within cities. Riders must have a valid driver's license and are provided with insurance; helmets are included on scooters. Scoot operates in multiple cities, with headquarters in San Francisco, Barcelona, and Santiago, employing local teams to manage operations.

In 2019, Scoot was acquired by Bird, its competitor, but faced financial challenges leading to Bird's Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing in December 2023.
