Connah's Quay Power Station refers to two successive power plants located near Connah's Quay in Flintshire, North Wales. The original coal-fired station was built in 1954 and closed in 1984; it had a capacity of 180 MW and used coal from the Point of Ayr Colliery. After its demolition by 1992, it was replaced by a gas-fired CCGT (Combined Cycle Gas Turbine) power station completed in 1996 and opened in 1997. This new plant has a capacity of 1,420 MW and is owned by Uniper.

The gas for the current station comes via an 18-mile pipeline from the Point of Ayr terminal, which sources gas from Liverpool Bay's offshore fields. To meet National Transmission System standards, a gas treatment plant was built in 1997 to remove impurities like sulfur and nitrogen, reducing their levels below specified limits. This facility uses molecular sieves, carbon beds, cryogenic cooling, and separation columns to process the gas before compression.

The treated gas is then transported through a pipeline to the National Transmission System at Burton Point. The power station has four chimneys and employs 81 staff members.
