Radio Pudahuel
Pudahuel is a Chilean radio station broadcasting at 90.5 MHz FM in Santiago and across the country via repeaters and internet streaming. Its institutional voice is Balmores Fajardo. Established on October 15, 1968, by Joaquín Blaya Barrios and Ricardo Vega under the company Blaya y Vega, it initially operated from Pudahuel before moving to Miraflores in 1970 and later to Las Condes in 1979. The station adopted an Anglo-pop style in 1979, shifting to Latin music in 1985 under Pablo Aguilera, becoming a top-rated station through the late '80s and mid '90s. Expansion began in the late '80s, reaching Valparaíso and Curicó, achieving national coverage by 1993 as Chile's first radio with a satellite network. In 1999, Blaya y Vega was acquired by Ibero Americana Radio Chile. Currently, Pudahuel ranks among Santiago's top five most-listened stations, with programming targeting middle-class women. Its slogans have evolved over the years, reflecting its growth and branding changes, from "Pudahuel, la Superstereo" to "La radio de Chile."
