Bethany Antonia, born on December 25, 1997, in Quinton, Birmingham, is a British actress of mixed English and Jamaican descent. She grew up moving between a small coastal town in France and Birmingham, where she attended Perryfields High School and later Birmingham Ormiston Academy for her sixth form studies in musical theatre. Antonia began her training at an early age, joining First Act Workshop at 14 and dancing at Adage Dance studio, Spotlight Stage School, and the British Youth Music Theatre.

Her acting career started at 14 with a role in Shakespeare Birthplace Trust's short film adaptation of *The Tempest*. She made her television debut in 2017 on BBC One's *Doctors* and her feature film debut in *Pin Cushion*. In 2019, she joined the cast of *Get Even*, based on Gretchen McNeil's book series. The following year, she appeared in the Netflix crime drama *Stay Close*. In 2022, she became known for portraying Princess Baela Targaryen in HBO's *House of the Dragon*, a prequel to *Game of Thrones* and adaptation of George R.R. Martin's *Fire and Blood*. Additionally, she starred in Russell T Davies' ITV miniseries *Nolly* in 2023.

Antonia came out as lesbian on Instagram in response to online harassment.
