The CODA soundtrack album was released by Republic Records on August 13, 2021, alongside the film's theatrical and streaming debut on Apple TV+. Composed by Marius de Vries and co-produced with Nicholas Baxter, the album features 18 tracks. Lead actors Emilia Jones and Ferdia Walsh-Peelo performed most songs, with additional vocals from choir members from Berklee College of Music.

The soundtrack was a key element in connecting the film's deaf characters, requiring subtle yet impactful music to convey emotions through sign language. Vries aimed for minimal instrumentation and live recordings, capturing authentic performances during shoots rather than re-recording or lip-syncing. The team faced production challenges due to COVID-19 but completed post-production in Los Angeles.

The track "Beyond the Shore," co-written by Sian Heder and Matt Dahan, was an original composition for the film's conclusion, reflecting Ruby's journey. Despite the film's success at the 94th Academy Awards with three wins, including Best Picture, the song did not receive a nomination for Best Original Song.

The soundtrack received praise for its restraint and emotional depth, enhancing the film's narrative without overshadowing it. Reviews highlighted the effective use of music in balancing storytelling and character development, making the album an ideal complement to the visual experience.
