Covenant is an album by American folk singer/guitarist Greg Brown, released in 2000, just a few months after his previous album *Over and Under*. The album includes a hidden track titled "Marriage Chant" after the official end. One of its songs, "Rexroth's Daughter," was later covered by Joan Baez on her album *Dark Chords on a Big Guitar*.

The album received mixed reviews from critics. Jeff Burger of Allmusic praised Brown's songwriting and simple production, calling him a "national treasure." Jim Musser of No Depression described Brown as a "remarkable artist" with enduring creativity. John Kenyon included *Covenant* in his Top 10 list for 2000, highlighting its accomplished songs about love, loss, and American life. However, Moshe Benarroch of Folk and Acoustic Music Exchange praised the first two tracks but found the rest of the album reminiscent of second-rate 1960s and 1970s rhythm and blues songs, calling it mediocre.

The track listing includes: "'Cept You and Me Babe" (4:32), "Rexroth's Daughter" (4:55), "Real Good Friend" (3:55), "Blues Go Walking" (3:19), "Waiting on You" (4:28), "Living in a Prayer" (3:45), "Dream City" (4:12), "Lullaby" (4:20), "Blue Car" (4:11), "Walkin' Daddy" (4:45), and "Pretty One More Time" (5:14).

The personnel on the album are Greg Brown (vocals, guitar), Bo Ramsey (guitar), Dave Jacques (acoustic and electric bass), Rob Arthur (organ, Wurlitzer piano), Steve Hayes (drums, percussion), and Eric Heywood (pedal steel guitar).
