Blavity is an American digital media company founded in 2014 by Morgan DeBaun and co-founders Jonathan Jackson, Jeff Nelson, and Aaron Samuels. Based in Los Angeles, Blavity aims to economically and creatively support Black millennials across the African diaspora, enabling them to pursue their passions and drive change. The name "Blavity" combines "black" and "gravity," reflecting DeBaun's college experience of attracting like-minded peers to discussions about culture and politics.

The platform focuses on subcultures, community events, and local happenings rather than mainstream celebrities. Approximately 40% of its content is user-generated. By September 2016, Blavity reached millions of unique visitors monthly and secured $1 million in seed funding with Monique Woodard as an investor.

In 2016, Blavity launched EmpowerHer for Black women in New York City and Afrotech, a tech summit in San Francisco. In 2017, it introduced 21Ninety, a lifestyle platform for Black women, acquired Shadow and Act (black entertainment) and Travel Noire (Black travel). In July 2018, Blavity raised $6.5 million from investors including GV, Comcast Ventures, Plexo Capital, and Baron Davis Enterprises to expand its engineering team and open an Atlanta office.

In January 2023, it launched Home and Texture, targeting multicultural audiences in home design and family life. Founders DeBaun and Samuels were recognized on Forbes' 30 Under 30 list in 2016 for transforming America's future.
